North Carolina paramedical examiners are valuable members of the healthcare team. This profession is one of the fastest growing careers in the nation, according to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics. Paramedical examiners in the state of North Carolina perform a variety of duties. Some of those of duties involved are providing medical information for life insurance companies which are needed to evaluate “risk” of potential life insurance purchasers.

This includes recording applicant answers to a printed health history questionnaire, measurements of height, weight, BP, and pulse rate. Most cases require venipuncture to obtain a blood specimen and collection of a urine specimen. Some cases require a 12-lead EKG.  The medical reports are completed at the applicant’s location.

After the medical appointment the examiner sends the medical report to the insurance company, sends any specimens collected to a laboratory, and sends a billing slip to our Billing Dept.
